Mixed Vec/Splice civilization that originated on Bambata near M41 in Canis Major, 2200 ly from Sol. Founded in 6100 AT.
The Lirantiq civilisation began to expand outwards during the post-ComEmp period. The reason for the expansion was not just for the traditional needs of resources and trade. In addition the Lirantiq also sought their origins - for some unknown reason their founder(s) had erased all history files and memories of the time before reaching Bambata.
The most likely origin given present information is either Atogier refugees after the polar anti-assassination of 5867 AT, or a lost or escaped fundamentalist science experiment. The Lirantiq made contact with a number of other cultures in the local volume, gaining valuable astrographical knowledge and trade ties that the Emple-Dokcetics would later exploit.
In the period 6900-7100 AT, following contact with several ISO nodes, the Lirantiq set up a local wormhole network, far outside the core Wormhole Nexus. This became known as the Lirantiq Nexus.
