Church of St. Einstein, The
Guild-like organization supported by the relativists. Despite its name, the Church is not a religious organization, but rather a guild devoted to helping relativist crews arriving in a new system to re-acclimate and adapt to the rest of civilization. The Church maintains hostels and reeducation centers on most civilized worlds served or visited by relativistic vessels. The centers work to update starship crews on history and current events, social mores, and the locations and status of any friends or family members living in 'quick-time' (the relativist term for the 'stationary', non-relativistic reference frame).
