Abandoned (then repopulated) system in the Outer Cassiopeia Sector with a terraformed Gaian world, Sigyn.

In 8995 the colonists in this system were subsumed by a rogue hyperturing, believed to be an Exploration Rover class 4 S:1. This entity appears to have used the hapless colonists as a biotic matrix for the Xeon blight. It is not known whether the hyperturing used memetic persuasion or force to subdue the colonists, but there were few signs of conflict.

The Xeon blight abandoned this world to establish a minor empire several hundred light years to rimward; after contact was lost with the Branton colony, a fleet of rescue ships arrived in 9010, only to discover that the system was empty of sophonts. The ecology of Sigyn was beginning to deteriorate already by this time, but after several decades it was repaired and the world declared safe again.

A new wave of colonists began to arrive in this system soon afterwards from the Solar Dominion, and mostly inhabit orbiting space habitats and the moon Vali, while preserving the environment of Sigyn as a nature reserve.
