Andromeda Kids
Semi-mythological feral tweak-cyborg hu superbrights who established a number of colonies in the vicinity of Kapteyn's Star during the late Federation (early Emergence Age) period.
Following their capture by the authorities they were employed by Stirling Immersives and made into socially acceptable malcontents. During the later Inner Sphere Era several Andromeda Kid clades appeared around several old cultural worlds, where they fed off the nostalgia and sympathy value. Despite their superbright status, they had especial appeal for disenfranchised nearbaselines (this has been called Superhero Syndrome). None had the success of the original Andromeda Kids. There are a number of long-lived current Andromeda Kid clades - mostly nominal ferals or feral posers - scattered throughout the Hinteregions and the Outer Volumes.
