One of my favorite things for personal worldbuilding. I used it quite a while ago for soft sci fi that never really got anywhere but really cool data.

I've used some of the Galaxy Map data to make fairly large maps of the Terragen Sphere, although somewhat indirectly; contributor Selden Ball translated an early version into Celestia data, which I then transcribed onto various OA maps.

This is probably the clearest of all my maps so far; I should be able to find some bright stars to superimpose onto the top of this, such as Deneb, Naos and Cygnus OB2-12

Thank you so much for those maps, Starscapion. I find them very useful. They could be even more helpful if we could add labels with the names in some areas to better present the OA maps.

These maps could perhaps serve as inspiration for early conquest maps, since some of them zoom in quite a bit on the sun.
And those showing a larger region could be for later periods in the timeline.
