It's current entire entry currently consists of 'Important Communion of Worlds member-system.'
So lots of room to play.
As part of that - A question for our resident astronomy/planetology experts - Would it be doable to have a G or K class star with a close orbiting (but not TOO close orbiting - let's say somewhere between Mercury and Venus distance) gas giant, a super terrestrial, a Panthallassic superterrestrial, and a Saturn like (size, not natural rings) gas giant orbiting out about the same spot that Jupiter/Saturn orbit in our system?
Trying to set up the canvas to paint on as it were.
Thanks!
Todd
I don't see any reason why it can't be done. Check out WASP-47, it is a G9V star with a super-Earth in less than a day orbit, a Jupiter in a 4-day orbit, a Uranus in a 9-day orbit, and finally another Jupiter in a 590-day orbit.
On this topic (the planet moratorium, not Vangelis lol), I and Steve have been discussing about the possibility of the revival of the project to make the Gliese 570 system into an African diaspora system. I already have some launch dates available in the 560s (I had originally planned it to be another Heavenly Palaces mission, but this one looks a lot better. Plus, that's the only space remaining after all the time table grabbing...) Thinking about adding some planets (none terraformed of course; later to be disassembled, modified, or maybe left mostly intact) to spice the place up, but of course, I'll keep the habitats. They look great.
