The trouble I felt with the prologue was that the names made the introduction too specific while almost everything else about it felt too vague. The important aspect of the story you were introducing was that there's going to be space magic and dolphins and software creatures and dragons and whatnot , but I couldn't quite understand what was happening. This elixir thing comes into existence and a wide variety of people see it in a vision ?
In a few favorite stories I can think of, something pretty distinct happens but we're not sure who does it because that's maybe not important yet. A mysterious dragon meets up with "the pinstriped man" and breaks a continent in half or start a heist together or something for reasons we want to discover soon... that gets me more interested.... than a bunch of names that I'm not sure how invested I should become..
