Exploration of Venus
Recently NASA made a short video regarding their ideas for a manned mission to Venus (watch in hd1080p):

I have to wonder though whether it's safe to live in the Venusian clouds. In addition to various other factors it may also depend on the intensity of lightnings, occuring within the Venusian clouds:
"Hydrogen is a light, odorless gas, which, given enough time, turns into people." -- Edward Robert Harrison
Nice idea. The tricky part for a manned mission would be the launch to orbit. There is quite a lot of experience with lightning in Earth's atmosphere, hopefully Venus won't be much worse.
Nice idea, but sadly just idea. If NASA got 5% increase in funding for each concept of a mission it releases, there would be a base on Luna.
