If we count these individuals as the oldest extant Terragens, it doesn't really break anything.

I note that one of the characters in Iain Bank's Culture novels (Qi'Ria) was described as being 10,000 years old, and remembers the events of the Culture's creation. However Qi'Ria had to store many of their memories in external locations. This is the same problem we identified in OA long ago - a typical human biont can't store ten thousand years' worth of memories. So either they forget things and become a different personality (something which happens to us all) or they require a significant external databank of memories.

Most such long-lived individuals would eventually upload and become virtual sophonts, or choose to edit their mind/body toposophic nature into something unrecognisable, or opt for nanostasis storage into the deep future, or choose to become subsumed by a friendly transap or archailect and become part of an AI god. However a very few might choose to live on in a semblance of their original self.

I'm mostly concerned about life extension tech from that period (and as we currently treat it - admittedly not in great detail) wouldn't be up to this level and type of change. There's also the issue that we currently say that life extension tech was lost during the Technocalypse/Dark Age and how the peterpan idea would fold into that and similar issues.

That's not to say we can't address/solve those issues just, just that the article as currently written likely needs a touch up - which might include shifting the date of this kind of tech to a later point in the timeline.
