Anyways, this game takes place in the distant future - not sure when. Sol was destroyed by "the Incident", and so were nearby stars. The resulting nebula is named the "Sol Nebula", and ships cannot go through the inner nebula without being destroyed.
The closest thing to tweaks in this setting are the Soromoid, who had to modify themselves out of necessity to survive a plague. Now, they gladly embrace who they are. However, their gene modification procedure is too risky to outsiders, with a high change of death!
Despite the fact that this takes place in the distant future, capitalism and human rule are still very much present.
There are the Thurion, that are basically uploads. It is hard to find them though. I haven't found them yet!
This game is still in the early stages, though. It is fun, though!
