Also, There doesn't seem to be any particular statement of the Nephilim height, which, i'm sure might actually vary more than two meters.
The only reason I drew them as 8 meters tall was the image steve bowers made. In the discussions when originally designing the nephilim, there was a comment of them being about giraffe height.

(post #75157 of yahoo groups in may 2008)
so there's that issue too.
Note that brachiosaurs seem to have reached a height of sixteen metres, so eight metres is a bit conservative. On the other hand brachiosaurs probably had very large heart and lun systems to oxygenate and pump their blood to that height; a Nephilim with a very tapered torso would not have as much chest capacity as a four-legged giant animal.
On low gravity worlds Nephilim could attain even greater heights, although the danger from falling over would be still quite considerable. A very tall sophont would probably need to be at least tripedal, for safety's sake.
The proportions are a bit better, and I added a low-gravity nephilim tweak. If the third leg genegeneered from a tail is unnecessary, the other image, with two legs can be used.
I really like the tripedal Nephilim; but some contributors have suggested in the past that extreme tweaks like changes in the numbers of legs should be counted as the creation of a entirely new genus.

Yes, if it's genetic but if it's only biosculpted, no. I'm think a "third leg" wouldn't actually help in walking but would be used in resting. Kangaroos do this, they sit back on their tails. It could also be used to provide stability when reaching for something really high.

..and here's some High Gravity Tweaks and Superiors.
If there's any problems at all with the way i'm going about posting all these modosophonts, anyone is welcome to let me know. I can wait and post upcoming ones all at once, or space them out. I can also start a new thread if this one is becoming unwieldy.
Here are places where the illustrations could go, to supplement what is already there.

Please don't worry about displacing my artwork. I might keep some of the old images as secondary illustrations, but you are doing an excellent job.
One image of mine that is really not up to scratch is the Supersophont image; imagine the Incredible Hulk with diamondoid cables for muscles, and with huge elbows and knees to attach these Ultimate Muscles to, and big feet to stop em simply pulverizing the floor if e wants to jump.
