Creating a Page of Author Resources and a 'Writer's Bible'

I've thought that a step-by-step guide to making new worlds might be useful. Many of the tools I use are already on the site, in the Worldbuilding Links page; but the new Colonisation map pages should help as well. Eventually a contributor would be able to choose a date then select a location on the map that is consistent with the colonisation history of that world.
