This might have been used as part of the best amat drives of the pre-Nanodisaster Interplanetary Age, and then much wider application during the earlier Federation Age when amat propulsion advanced to become a common form of rocket drive.

I'm not sure if this effect could be made to work with conversion drives as it sounds like it depends on the different charges of the matter and amat particles. But something might be done.

The ultradense deuterium effect might also be useful if it could be created and sustained in a reasonably massed container. Hmm.
