I'm grateful to have attended a few of his lectures at Hebrew University and later at LOOPS15 in Erlangen. He was quiet but when he made a point or asked a question, it was usually quite profound and cut to the chase.

I've planning to start putting together the next issue of V:FT this weekend. I can add an In Memoriam note and the link to this notice as part of that. It seems appropriate given how much his work impacts the setting, at least in principle.
