A reasonable estimate might be that this stuff will be roughly as strong, weight for weight, as nanotubes. After all, the strength in both cases is constrained by the strength of carbon-carbon bonds.

Unlike some of the commenters to the article, I don't think brittleness would be much of an issue if using this stuff in composites. After all, glass is remarkably brittle but GRP is very tough.
