I know that this is like the Star Trek vs Star Wars discussion threads that litter the web, but how would it be if OA met the Civilization of Doc Smith?

Well, we don't generally participate in 'vs' discussions, because the various universes are so different. In particular the characteristics of each fictional universe are limited to that universe and wouldn't work elsewhere; the FLT travel and telepathy in the Lensman universe wouldn't work in OA, and the wormhole tech, thunderbolts and warp motes in OA probably wouldn't work in the Lensman universe.
In general the Lensmen have technology which is almost entirely magical, and is almost arbitrarily powerful. But maybe some Lensman tech might be adapted for use in OA.

Fantastic comment and given the track record of Vs arguments I don’t see the need to take the thread further.
