I just finished watching the remake of Total Recall the other day... and now this!

Good news for OA! Virchworlds are a big part of the setting, and this is one more piece of confirmation on their possibilities!

This seems to suggest that a biont might be able to acquire false memories and possibly skills from elsewhere. Maybe tachydidactic implants could replace years of learning. Another possibility is merging the memories of two or more bionts into a single person. Maybe a pair of forks could be reunited at some point.

It would be nice to label the memories somehow, so that the merged person would be able to keep eir personal histories straight.

Agreed. Although there's some definite story potential in what things might be like before the tagging tech was developed or perfected. Or what might happen if the tagging system failed or was sabotaged...

Scientists moved a rat's tail with their minds. Remote control bodies are Possible. Maybe.
