I intend to add this possibility as a major strategy for the Diamond Network ahuman AIs; at least some of them are establishing small but defensible long-term storage structures around red dwarfs so that they can persist into the deep future, when computation is more efficient. The Eternal may also be doing the same thing. We discussed this on a thread a month or two ago, then I promptly forgot about it. http://www.orionsarm.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3024 |
