Description
The original Tylansian comic book which was the inspiration for the propaganda film Great Conqueror Glarion was published in 10334 AT, about 5 years before the film was released.The original comic storyline has many more characters (and fewer plot holes); the basic content is the same as the film, but the story was changed for filming due to budget constraints and the government's continual revision of the script, which reinforced its propaganda value but greatly extended filming time.
Differences between the movie and the comic book
In the film, the whereabouts of the children rescued by Glarion play a large part in the plot. The general story is that after the Tylansian children are rescued, they reach the control panel inside the Felinid Narslian mothership, and the key part of the control panel is the ClarkTech machine, which is the reason why the "ugly and stupid Felinid (Narslian)" can fight against a polity like Tylansia, and the children stop the plot to destroy the Tylansian Empire by communicating directly with the evil archailect Damnos.Also, in the latter part of the comic book, in the scene where Glarion is receiving cheers from the citizens and having a parade, it is explained that the structure of the ClarkTech machine was reverse-engineered thanks to the "smart Tylansian children", and that the children were able to defeat Damnos by making a ClarkTech radio out of the junk inside the mothership and commanding him to capture him. The children also appear as spectators at the parade, and there is no explanation as to how they landed safely on the planet without parachutes and spaceships.

Conqueror Glarion Issue 74 is an episode that has unexpectedly gained cult popularity among readers from star systems outside of Tylansia. It is said that the fact that a baseline human like Glarion coming into contact with a Godseed trap and suffering humiliation is a likely event in reality, and it is said to have piqued interest in this direction. Of course, as the plot progresses in the comic book, the concept of ascension into a super-intellect and being absorbed by the archailect Damnos, or becoming a puppet of Damnos, are confused, but in any case, it is said to be refreshing in that it contains a propaganda story that would only work within Tylansia, but it also mentions a lot of foreign (sephirotic) technologies.
For example, Proxyve (or Damnos himself) in the form of a large man, Computronium expressed as a brain and wires integrated, and Bayesian magic that would have been cut off by the appearance of super-intelligent beings were mentioned.
Naturally, due to the limitations of being essentially propaganda, the ending is disappointing in that "the baseline human ends up in a draw with the archailect in a fight with reason," and it is generally referred to as a comic that "you have to empty your brain and read." In any case, unlike typical Tylansian propaganda that is usually too childish to watch, fan fiction that occasionally modifies the scenario in the nearbaseline society is also released, so it can be seen as the most successful and popular case among media from the Tylansian society. Of course, whether or not there are near-baseline humans with the will to reside in Tylansian is a separate issue.

Conqueror Glarion - The Final Struggle
Glarion The Conqueror's conquest comes to an end
This issue caused quite a stir within Tylansia due to the issue of the comic book of Conqueror Glarion. This is because the story seems to actively reflect the incident related to the Toh Chi Lok-Nar tourists who visited Tylansia.
The plot is a very cliché story, similar to other Tylansia propaganda. It is about Glarion exploring a planet outside of Tylansia, crash-landing, and fighting the planet's natives (the Toh Chi Lok, a clade of provolved Deinonychus). Naturally, both their life and living environment were depicted differently. For example, they were depicted as beasts who were 'too bloodthirsty to go extinct in a civil war', and when hunting prey, they were depicted as using tree branches as a stepping stone and jumping over the branches to corner their prey in one place, surrounding them, and then eating them. Their home planet, Toh Chi Lok-Nar, is also depicted as a cold, glacial, densely forested planet with no signs of civilization.
This description is extremely disconcerting to the Toh Chi who come across this comic book, and most of them try to understand this perspective when they first encounter this medium, but after reaching an average of 3-4 pages, they realize that this comic book is a propaganda piece and lose interest. It is said that a few Toh Chi react very angrily when they hear that this savage Deinonychus image, which is full of extremely rude expressions and ignores the complexity and wisdom of their lives and is depicted only as a bloodthirsty beast, is very popular with Tylansian children (especially males aged 5-12 on average). The majority of them say that it is not worth dealing with and just leave no comment. However, there is a somewhat interesting twist in this comic book, in the last chapter, Glarion defeats the Deinonychus group, but he also dies from excessive bleeding and fractures.
The fact that Glarion, who is close to the icon of Tylansian culture and masculinity, dies is quite an interesting development, and it was an issue with such a large impact that it is still occasionally mentioned in Tylansian culture. It is said that the author's mindset for making such a big decision is still questionable.
Etymology
In the Tylansian language, the Toh Chi are called Daino Rika-tona in the comic book, where Daino means 'empty', 'flying', or 'open', and Rika means 'fangs', 'wise', 'sharp', and 'snout'. And -tona is a definite article attached to a feminine noun. Translated into most standard Terragen languages, their name would be The Flying Fangs. The peculiar thing is that Rika itself is a masculine noun, so the definite article that should follow it is usually -Oko. The reason for intentionally changing the grammatical gender of the definite article to the point of distorting the language structure is presumed to be a linguistic choice to disparage the Toh Chi as 'girls who fight in groups'. Some people occasionally suggest a correction in this translation, saying that since there are no 'flying birds' on the planet Tylansia, there is no proper noun to refer to them. Since tona is an article that is occasionally attached to nouns referring to animals, some believe that it was not disparaged for political purposes, but rather that the Tylansia writers made an effort to recreate the word 'bird'. As evidence to support this, there is a breed of Tylansia native flightless chicken called Rika-tona. Also, since there is no description of them flying in the work, it is strange that the meaning of Daino was translated as flying. If this is true, their real translation name would be 'Hollow Bird'.Conclusion
This was not the end of the Glarion series, and three years after this issue was published the series resumed with the retcon that Glarion had actually pretended to be dead and escaped the planet - and that he had been hiding, thinking that the Tylansian people, who were more masculine than anyone else, would protect Tylansia without him.Glarion Comics continue to be popular in Tylansia, but so far no further films have been made.
