Designer Life
Designer life has existed since the Information Age, starting with glowing rabbits and bacteria with messages hidden in their genomes. Over time the design of new lifeforms as an artistic field has developed into a vast array of schools, approaches and applications. Some designer life correspond to individual artworks, others are intended to be integrated into ecological art, technical applications or even as citizen-artworks.
