NGC 6514 / M20

Large (40 ly across) Emission / Reflection Nebula in the Sagittarius Outer Volumes, about 5000 ly from Earth. Reached by and already being colonized by a number of clades and neumanns of various political persuasion, but still very much a frontier system. Not yet connected to the wormhole nexus. Among the indigenous life are a small number of amoebas (Cosmoameoboi), which seem to have spread here from further spinwards along the Sagittarius arm.
