Retroism
Retrotechnological movement developed during the Expansion Era (2100 to 2600 AT), sometimes seen as a counter-reaction to Keterism and other ultratech or high tech lifestyle choices. The retro-lifestyle is often seen as a less demanding, lower-stress, more natural option, although many retroist societies do include certain hi-tech amenities such as backup tech and Known Net access.

A number of planets and habitats in the Middle Regions follow retrotechnological policies; the chosen level of technology may be middletech, low-tech or even primtech. Most independent retroist worlds have since then been absorbed by the various empires, especially the Terragen Federation.
