Khowagong
Large aquatic animals not unlike a Terragen sea slug crossed with a dugong, native to the Pelagic planet Tamarinde (Phoebus Prefecture, Solar Dominion).

Weighing up to 500 kg, with a length of some 5 or 6 meters, the creatures possess a complex social structure and communicate via photophores, pheromones, and undulating wingfin movements. Large colonies live around large islands of floating vegetation. They have been classified as presophont by the Eden Institute. Recently formal approval has been given by the Imperial Provolution Board, and xenologists are being recruited to assist and bioaugment the Khowagong to adapt to Galactic civilization, while making sure the species is not traumatized in the process.
